Job Summary
IDIRA Secure Infrastructure Access (SIA) for RDP provides secure, brokered Remote Desktop access to Windows servers without exposing credentials or opening inbound network access. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage modern cloud architectures, automation, and Python to design, develop, test, secure, and deploy critical services from planning to production. You will play a pivotal role in researching and implementing sophisticated cybersecurity mechanisms to protect infrastructure access. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with security architects, product managers, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.
Deliver end-to-end features and enhancements while maintaining high quality, reliability, and security standards.
Debug complex runtime issues, analyze system logs, and isolate root causes across backend components.
Execute the full software development life cycle within an agile engineering environment.
Research, design, and implement sophisticated cybersecurity mechanisms to protect infrastructure access.
Participate in feature design discussions and evaluate architectural choices for optimal scalability and maintainability.
Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and unit/integration test coverage.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development.
Deep, fundamental understanding of Python and experience building production-grade services.
Strong debugging capabilities and proven experience diagnosing system behavior and finding solutions via logs.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat concepts, and secure coding practices.
Demonstrated ability to practice the full software development life cycle in an agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience working with microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate design options and articulate technical trade-offs effectively.
Familiarity with AWS cloud environments (e.g., ECS Fargate, Lambda, Route 53) or serverless patterns. (Note: Prior AWS experience is a plus, but not mandatory—training will be provided.)
Experience with version control (Git) and automated CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins).
Prior experience implementing secure brokered access, identity management, or network security solutions.
