Job Description
The objective of the Global Services Control Management Issues, Events & Remediation team is to enable the timely identification, assessment, response, and resolution of operational risk issues and events. The team seeks to minimize business and customer impact, prevent recurrence through effective remediation, and strengthen the organization’s control environment through data-driven insights and lessons learned.
Global Services is seeking an Analyst – Issues, Events & Remediation, Data Reporting & Analytics. The role will be responsible for developing reporting and analytics solutions that provide transparency into issues, operational risk events, remediation activities, control weaknesses, and emerging risk trends.
The Analyst will combine business intelligence, data analysis, visualization, and control-management knowledge to produce accurate, scalable, and actionable reporting. The role will also support root-cause analysis, data-quality assurance, governance activities, and senior-leadership reporting.
This position requires extensive collaboration with business units, Control Management teams, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and other functional partners across multiple geographies.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain interactive Power BI and Tableau dashboards covering issues, operational risk events, remediation progress, control performance, and key risk indicators.
Produce accurate and timely recurring, ad hoc, and executive-level reporting on issue status, aging, severity, impact, root causes, milestones, overdue actions, and outcomes.
Design scalable, automated reporting frameworks and integrated data models that reduce manual effort and improve reporting consistency and accuracy.
Optimize dashboards, queries, extracts, refresh schedules, and visual components to improve performance, usability, and user experience.
Analyse issue, event, and remediation data to identify systemic trends, recurring root causes, emerging risks, and potential control weaknesses.
Translate complex data into clear visual narratives, executive insights, and recommendations that strengthen controls, improve processes, and prevent recurrence.
Support investigations, root-cause analysis, and quality assurance of issue, event, remediation, and closure documentation.
Partner with business, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Control Management, and data owners to resolve data gaps, and meet governance and regulatory reporting needs.
Prepare materials for governance forums and senior leadership while managing multiple analytical deliverables with accuracy, timeliness, and strong stakeholder communication.
Perform quality assurance on documentation and maintenance records of specific issues/OREs and remediations to ensure transparency and accountability in the issue management process.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data reporting, analytics, operational risk, compliance, audit, or control management.
Hands-on expertise in Power BI and/or Tableau, including dashboard development, data modelling, advanced calculations, filters, drill-downs, and performance optimization.
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases for data extraction, transformation, joins, aggregation, and analysis.
Strong capabilities in data visualization, reporting automation, analytical storytelling, and executive-level communication.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data-quality assessment, metric validation, reporting controls, and documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project and stakeholder management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies in a governed environment.
Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards.
Outstanding attention to detail and storytelling expertise
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Experience in the following:
Scoping, prioritizing, and support remediation of operational issues.
Knowledge of investigating and conducting root cause analysis to address repeated operational risk issue types.
Assisting of quality assurance on documentation of operational risk issues and events.
Recommendation of remediation strategies for operational risk issues and events.
Performing Quality Assurance of documentation and maintaining records of operational risk issues and events to ensure transparency and accountability.
Basic understanding of Archer, Lumi and creating and managing SharePoint sites.
