Role Description The Country Director – UAE at Grupo Ban Ban will lead the organization’s strategic and operational activities in the United Arab Emirates in a part-time, remote capacity. This role oversees market development, builds and maintains key partnerships, and ensures alignment with the company’s global objectives and standards. The Country Director will monitor regulatory developments, assess business risks and opportunities, and provide regular performance reports and insights to senior leadership. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, guiding local initiatives and campaigns, and representing the company with stakeholders, partners, and clients in the UAE market. The role also involves setting measurable goals for growth, supervising the implementation of local projects, and ensuring that all activities comply with relevant laws, policies, and ethical business practices.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in country or regional leadership, with a strong track record in strategic planning, business development, and stakeholder management in the UAE or GCC region.
Proven ability to manage remote teams and cross-functional projects, including coordination with marketing, operations, finance, and legal stakeholders.
Strong understanding of UAE regulatory, cultural, and business environments, with the ability to navigate local compliance and governance requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience using data and market insights to inform decisions and measure performance.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment, with the ability to represent the organization in external forums and partnerships.
Comfort with digital tools and remote collaboration platforms, and the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and balance part-time responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, International Relations, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is a plus.
Prior experience in multinational or cross-cultural environments and familiarity with the industry in which Grupo Ban Ban operates are beneficial.
