About the Academy
The BDR Academy is NationGraph’s paid, 16-week internship for students and new graduates who want to start a career in tech sales. From week one you’ll do the real job: identifying and qualifying vendors and turning cold outreach into real pipeline for our Account Executives. This isn’t about reading scripts or shadowing. It’s about understanding a prospect’s go-to-market, connecting the dots to how NationGraph helps them, and booking meetings that actually convert. You’ll carry a monthly meetings target and be measured the same way as our full-time reps. Hit your number and you earn a full-time BDR offer in our Fort Lauderdale office.
Program Details
- Dates: January to March 2027 (12 weeks)
- Hours: 15 to 20 hours a week, scheduled around your classes (full-time if you’ve already graduated)
- Location: Remote, from anywhere in Florida
- Who it’s for: Juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor’s degree (any major), and December 2026 graduates
What You’ll Do
- Book discovery meetings for our Account Executives through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach
- Research companies and build targeted prospect lists
- Learn each prospect’s go-to-market and connect it to how NationGraph helps them win more contracts
- Run outbound campaigns alongside our full-time BDRs
- Log every touch in HubSpot and track your numbers daily
What You’ll Need
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an energetic presence on the phone
- Excellent listening skills and real curiosity about how businesses win customers
- Comfort hearing “no” and picking up the phone again
- The habit of setting goals, tracking your numbers, and working to beat them every day
- A self-starter with a high sense of urgency who stays organized working remotely
Nice to Haves
- Leadership in a student organization, fraternity or sorority, club, or team sport
- A job where effort drove results: serving, retail, fundraising, campus recruiting
- Something you’ve sold: a side business, a club fundraiser, a campus ambassador role
- Coursework or interest in business, economics, government, or public policy
- Familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or other sales tools
- Numbers to back your track record
