Role Description The Relationship Manager – Government NPS will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with government and institutional clients for the National Pension System (NPS) portfolio. This full-time on-site role, based in Chandigarh, involves onboarding and servicing government entities, coordinating NPS account opening and documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role includes regular client meetings, educating stakeholders on NPS features and benefits, addressing service requests and queries, and supporting NPS-related campaigns and initiatives. The Relationship Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as operations, compliance, and product to ensure efficient service delivery, accurate reporting, and achievement of business targets. The position also requires tracking market trends, competitor offerings, and providing feedback to enhance NPS products and customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong relationship management and client servicing skills, with the ability to engage government and institutional stakeholders effectively.
Sound knowledge of banking products and services, preferably with exposure to pension schemes, NPS, or retail investment products.
Proficiency in communication and presentation, including the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and conduct client meetings or workshops.
Analytical and documentation skills to manage account opening, compliance checks, data accuracy, and basic reporting or MIS.
Ability to work on-site in Chandigarh, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet defined business and service quality targets.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certification in banking or financial services is an advantage.
Prior experience in banking, financial services, or government client management is preferred, along with familiarity with regulatory guidelines applicable to NPS and related products.
