IT application operation specialist

Role Description The IT Application Operation Specialist will oversee the day-to-day operation and support of business-critical applications in a part-time, remote capacity. This role includes monitoring application performance, responding to incidents and service requests, and coordinating with IT and business stakeholders to resolve issues promptly. The specialist will analyze system behavior, identify process or configuration improvements, and assist in implementing changes to enhance stability and efficiency. Additional responsibilities may include documenting procedures, maintaining application-related knowledge bases, and supporting minor upgrades or integrations as needed. The role requires consistent communication, proactive problem-solving, and a focus on maintaining smooth application operations for internal users.

Candidates should possess Application Support and Technical Support skills to troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and assist users in a structured manner.
Candidates should possess Information Technology knowledge to understand system architecture, integrations, security basics, and application environments.
Candidates should possess Business Process understanding to align application workflows with operational needs and recommend practical enhancements.
Relevant experience in IT operations or application support, preferably with multi-sector or enterprise environments.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and basic SQL or reporting tools is beneficial.
A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
