About the Role
We are looking for a curious, analytical, and driven SEO Intern to join our team in Bengaluru.
You will work on SEO activities for Skillmate Global and its clients, gaining hands-on experience across different industries, websites, and digital marketing objectives.
This role is ideal for a fresher or candidate with up to 1 year of experience who wants to build a strong foundation in SEO and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct keyword research and identify relevant search opportunities.
* Perform on-page SEO including titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking, and content optimization.
* Assist with technical SEO audits and identify website optimization opportunities.
* Conduct competitor, SERP, and search-intent analysis.
* Assist in developing and optimizing SEO-friendly website and blog content.
* Support off-page SEO and link-building activities.
* Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, impressions, clicks, and other SEO metrics.
* Work with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Keyword Planner, and other SEO tools.
* Identify content gaps and opportunities to improve organic visibility.
* Assist in preparing SEO reports and presenting key findings to the team.
* Stay updated with Google algorithm changes and the latest SEO trends.
* Collaborate with content, social media, performance marketing, and creative teams.
* Work on SEO requirements across multiple client accounts and industries.
Requirements
* 0–1 year of experience in SEO or Digital Marketing.
* Freshers with relevant knowledge or certifications are welcome to apply.
* Basic understanding of SEO, keywords, backlinks, search intent, crawling, indexing, and SERPs.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong research and analytical abilities.
* Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of assigned tasks.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.
* Knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics is a plus.
* Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, Screaming Frog, or similar tools is an advantage.
