About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer with strong testing fundamentals and hands-on experience in test automation, API testing, and mobile application testing. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the software testing lifecycle, be comfortable debugging issues, and have practical experience working with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
Experience in the FinTech/Banking/Financial Services domain will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and/or Playwright.
Perform API testing and validate API responses, data, and integrations.
Conduct mobile application testing across different devices and platforms.
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and debug application issues to identify the root cause of failures.
Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other QA Engineers to ensure product quality.
Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and release validation.
Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks and test suites.
Analyze test results and provide clear reports on application quality and defects.
Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product reliability.
Required Skills
1–4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
Strong understanding of QA processes, SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
Practical experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
Experience with mobile application testing.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of SQL/database testing is preferred.
Familiarity with Git/version control and basic CI/CD concepts is an advantage.
Good understanding of defect management and tools such as Jira or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
Experience in the FinTech / Banking / Payments / Financial Services domain.
Experience working with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of performance, security, or integration testing.
Experience testing applications across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
Education
BE/BTech – Mandatory
