Role Description The Senior Director Business Intelligence is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the enterprise-wide BI strategy and execution at 5C Group. This role oversees the design and implementation of data models, analytics frameworks, dashboards, and reporting that support strategic decision-making across operations, finance, product, and customer success. The Senior Director will manage and mentor a BI and analytics team, prioritize data initiatives, and partner with senior leadership to define key metrics, performance indicators, and data governance standards. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them into scalable BI solutions, ensuring data quality across warehouses and ETL processes, and communicating insights that drive operational efficiency and growth. The role also involves evaluating new tools and technologies, optimizing BI workflows, and maintaining compliance with security and privacy requirements in a large-scale AI infrastructure environment.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in data analytics and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights.
Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing, including designing scalable schemas and optimizing data structures for performance and reliability.
Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, ensuring robust data pipelines, data quality, and efficient movement of data across systems.
Background in business intelligence platforms and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar), including dashboard design and self-service analytics enablement.
Proven leadership experience managing BI, analytics, or data engineering teams, with the ability to set strategy, prioritize roadmaps, and coach team members.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of working with senior executives and cross-functional partners in a remote environment.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and SQL; exposure to AI or high-performance computing infrastructure is a plus.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field (such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.
