Role Description The Audit Assistant will work on-site in Mumbai in a full-time capacity, supporting audit and assurance engagements across various corporate clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in planning and executing financial audits, reviewing financial statements and supporting documents, preparing working papers, and drafting sections of audit reports under guidance. The role involves performing analytical procedures, verifying compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations, and helping identify control gaps and process improvements. The Audit Assistant will collaborate with senior team members, maintain organized documentation, and contribute to timely completion of assignments in audit, due diligence, and related corporate engagements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Statements and Finance, with the ability to interpret, analyze, and reconcile accounts.
Candidates should possess skills related to Financial Audits and Audit Reports, including understanding audit procedures, documentation standards, and reporting requirements.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and detect variances or irregularities in financial information.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; pursuing or holding professional qualifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA equivalent) is an advantage.
Knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation basics, and corporate compliance frameworks; familiarity with GST and indirect tax concepts is beneficial.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; experience with accounting or audit software is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under supervision while meeting deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
