Senior Interior Designer

The team provides end-to-end support, including conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, and design execution. The firm focuses on creating functional, safe, and visually appealing interiors by determining space requirements and selecting colors, lighting, materials, and finishes. Led by principal designer director Nishi Jain, the practice brings more than 10 years of experience across luxury residential, hospitality, institutional, and commercial projects. Candidates joining Tailor your home will be part of a multidisciplinary environment with a strong emphasis on design detail and client satisfaction.
Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client needs, brand standards, and functional requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing detailed space plans, coordinating construction drawings, and selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The role involves conducting site inspections, collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and overseeing quality and timelines during project execution. The Senior Interior Designer will mentor junior team members, participate in client presentations, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate client requirements into functional and aesthetic layouts.
Solid understanding of Architecture and Construction Drawings to coordinate effectively with project teams and ensure accurate design implementation.
Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and decorative elements that align with design concepts and budgets.
Relevant academic background in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with prior experience in residential and/or commercial projects.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and strong visualization and presentation skills.
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site, conduct regular site visits, and collaborate closely with contractors and vendors in Mumbai.
Experience in luxury or high-end interior projects is an advantage, along with a portfolio showcasing completed work.
