About Vaughn & Associates
Vaughn & Associates is a Main Street business brokerage headquartered in North Texas, serving business owners nationwide with a presence in the United Kingdom. We help owners of small and mid-sized businesses sell their companies, and we help buyers find, evaluate, and acquire them. We're growing fast across five U.S. regions, and we're looking for driven, relationship-focused professionals to grow with us.
The Role
As a Business Broker, you'll represent business owners through the full sale process, from the first valuation conversation to the closing table. You'll build your own book of business, list and market businesses for sale, qualify and work with buyers, and guide deals through negotiation, due diligence, and closing. You won't be doing it alone. You'll have a team lead, a structured training program, a complete contract library, and deal support behind you.
What You'll Do
Generate and meet with business owners who want to sell, and secure exclusive listing agreements
Prepare business valuations and marketing materials using our tools and templates
Market listings, respond to buyer inquiries, and manage NDAs and buyer qualification
Negotiate letters of intent and purchase agreements on behalf of your clients
Coordinate due diligence with buyers, sellers, attorneys, CPAs, lenders, and landlords
Log all activity and opportunities in our CRM
Build referral relationships with attorneys, CPAs, bankers, realtors, and other professionals
What We're Looking For
Experience in real estate, business consulting or coaching, sales, finance, franchising, or business ownership
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated and comfortable in a commission-based, entrepreneurial role
Comfortable reading basic financial statements (P&Ls, tax returns), or willing to learn
Professional, organized, and responsive with clients
Licensing: Some states require a real estate license to broker business sales. Candidates in those states must hold an active real estate license or be willing to obtain one. Licensed realtors are strongly encouraged to apply.
What We Offer
Industry-leading commission splits: New brokers start at 50/50 and move to 70/30 once ready, typically after the first few closed deals
Firm fee structure: 10% seller-side fee with a $15,000 minimum, so every deal is worth your time
Complete training program: Our online training platform covers our processes, contracts, valuation calculator, and tools
Full contract library: NDAs, LOIs, listing agreements, buyer representation, purchase agreements, and co-broker agreements
Team lead mentorship and deal-closing support
Leads and referrals through our marketing and international buyer network
Flexibility: Work remotely and set your own schedule
Growth path: Clear advancement into team lead, state lead, and regional director roles
Who Thrives Here
People who like building something, enjoy working with business owners, and want income that reflects their effort. If you've closed real estate deals, coached business owners, or run your own company, you already have much of what it takes.
