Role Description The Lead User Experience Designer is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Pune Division, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end UX initiatives, from discovery and user research through conceptual design, prototyping, and delivery. Day-to-day work includes planning and conducting research, synthesizing insights, defining user journeys and information architecture, and creating high-quality wireframes and visual designs. The Lead UX Designer will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on requirements, facilitate design thinking workshops, and advocate for user-centered decisions throughout the product lifecycle. The role also involves mentoring designers, establishing design standards and guidelines, and contributing to the evolution of design processes and tools.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Thinking and User Experience (UX), with the ability to lead complex design initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in User Research, including planning studies, conducting interviews or usability tests, and translating findings into actionable insights.
Proficiency in Visual Design and Prototyping, using modern design and prototyping tools to create clear, engaging user interfaces and interactive concepts.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business) and communicating design decisions clearly to diverse audiences.
Ability to mentor and guide other designers, contribute to design systems, and uphold accessibility and inclusivity principles in design.
Relevant academic background in design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in a lead or senior UX role is highly beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a hybrid environment with both onsite and remote collaboration.
