We’re committed to Never Stop Driving. Ready to get in the driver’s seat? Join us!
As a Motorcycle Specialist, you’ll be a key member of Broad Arrow's motorcycle auction team, helping to establish and grow the company's presence within the global collector motorcycle market. This is a highly client-facing and commercially focused position. You’ll develop relationships with collectors and proactively generate high-quality motorcycle consignments, while helping clients buy, sell and finance collector motorcycles through live and online auctions, private sales and Broad Arrow Capital. We are seeking candidates with a strong professional reputation within the collector motorcycle industry, proven sales and business-development ability, and extensive specialist knowledge of motorcycles, ideally spanning a number of marques, periods and collecting categories.
What You’ll Do
Proactively source and secure motorcycle consignments for live and online auctions and private sales
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with collectors, dealers, museums, collections, estates and other participants within the international collector motorcycle market, providing high-quality advice and expertise
Act as a trusted advisor to clients considering buying or selling individual motorcycles or complete collections
Identify and develop new business opportunities through existing relationships, referrals, direct outreach and attendance at relevant motorcycle and collector events
Drive revenue through consigning and selling motorcycles via live and online auctions, and private sales
Undertake valuations and provide informed advice on estimates, reserves, market positioning and appropriate sale strategy
Visit clients and inspect motorcycles in person, assessing condition, originality, specification, provenance and marketability
Work with the Research & Editorial team to ensure accurate descriptions of consigned bikes to a consistently high standard, ensuring descriptions are accurate, authoritative and commercially effective
Work closely with clients throughout the complete consignment process, from initial discussion and valuation through to auction and post-sale follow-up.
Coordinate with administration, client services, operations, photography and marketing/PR teams to ensure consignments are presented and promoted to the highest standard.
Oversee the photography, documentation and preparation of individual consignments as required.
Represent Broad Arrow Motorcycles at auctions, shows, rallies, races and other relevant international collector events to support client engagement and business development.
Travel regularly within the UK and internationally to meet existing and prospective clients.
This might describe you
An established and respected reputation within the collector motorcycle community, with high standards of integrity, professionalism and ethics
Significant experience within collector motorcycles, whether through auctions, specialist sales, collection management, the motorcycle trade, historic racing or another closely related field
Proven ability to generate business, develop client relationships and convert opportunities into consignments or sales
Extensive knowledge of collector motorcycles, their history, originality, specification, provenance and values
A strong understanding of the international collector motorcycle market, including current trends and valuation dynamics
An existing network of relationships within the collector motorcycle community would be highly advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate specialist knowledge clearly and persuasively
Collaborative and team-oriented, with a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients
Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable developing new business rather than simply responding to incoming enquiries
Highly organised and able to work effectively under pressure and to demanding auction deadlines
Comfortable handling, maneuvering, and where appropriate, riding motorcycles.
A full driving licence (ideally including motorcycle) and willingness to travel regularly within the UK and internationally
Highly organised and able to work effectively under pressure and to demanding auction deadlines
Other Things To Note
This position is open to remote work in the United Kingdom. However, team members who reside near the Broad Arrow office will follow a hybrid schedule, working from the office three days per week
Must be flexible to work evenings/weekends, with the ability to travel internationally for auctions as needed
Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
At Hagerty, we share the road. We are an inclusive automotive community where all are welcomed, valued and belong regardless of race, gender, age, or car preference. We are united by our shared passion for driving, our commitment to preserve car culture for future generations and our desire to make a positive impact in the world.
