Data Quality Engineer

Job Role: Data Quality Engineer
Location: Preferably onsite in Chennai; however, it is highly preferred that the candidate can attend the office in Chennai a couple of days per week during the first months.
Technical Skills
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Hands-on experience using Databricks
Experience with data quality tools
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and pipelines
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Hand-on experience with Monte Carlo Data Observability
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure)
Familiarity with Collibra
Data Engineering & Architecture
Understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
Experience with batch and near real-time data processing using Databricks
Knowledge of data modeling concepts (dimensional, relational)
Nice to Have
Programming experience (Python, Scala, or Java)
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Control-M)
Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and lineage tools
Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven environments (e.g., Banking)
Certifications in data management or cloud platforms (CDMP, AWS, Azure)
