Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AM/DM – Costing role based in Vallabh Vidyanagar. The role involves preparing and reviewing cost estimates for material handling equipment and related engineering projects, ensuring accuracy in cost sheets and pricing proposals. The position includes analyzing BOMs, materials, labor, overheads, and subcontracting costs, and coordinating with design, production, procurement, and sales teams to validate cost assumptions. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring cost variances, updating costing databases, supporting budgeting exercises, and contributing to margin analysis for tenders and ongoing projects. The role also requires preparing costing reports and presentations for management, supporting cost optimization initiatives, and adhering to company standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong costing and estimation skills, including experience with BOM analysis, cost breakdowns, and project pricing.
Candidates should possess skills in financial and data analysis, such as variance analysis, margin assessment, and cost optimization.
Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Excel and relevant ERP or costing software for preparing and maintaining cost data.
Candidates should possess knowledge of manufacturing or engineering processes, ideally within material handling, heavy engineering, or related industries.
Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in costing or finance is an added advantage.
Candidates should possess an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a project-driven environment.
