The organization works with government bodies, educational institutions and other stakeholders to deliver solutions focused on examination security, technology, surveillance, monitoring and operational excellence.We are looking for an experienced Media Relations professional who can strengthen Innovatiview's presence across national, business, technology and relevant regional media platforms.
Role Overview
The Media Relations Lead will be responsible for developing and managing strong relationships with journalists, editors, media houses and key opinion leaders across India.The individual will serve as a key interface between Innovatiview and the media, proactively positioning the organization, its leadership, technology solutions, industry initiatives and key business developments in relevant media platforms.
The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in journalism/media relations/PR, a strong journalism background, an established network of media contacts and the ability to develop compelling stories around technology, examination security, government projects, digital transformation and related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Media Relations & Network
Build, maintain and continuously strengthen relationships with senior journalists, editors, bureau chiefs and media correspondents across national, business, technology, government and regional media.
Leverage an established media network to create meaningful and sustained media visibility for Innovatiview.
Develop strong relationships with journalists covering technology, education, government, cybersecurity, digital transformation, infrastructure and business.
Facilitate regular interactions between Innovatiview's leadership and relevant media stakeholders.
Maintain a structured database of media contacts, beat-wise journalists and media relationships.
2. Media Strategy & Brand Positioning
Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy aligned with Innovatiview's business objectives.
Proactively identify news opportunities, industry trends and relevant conversations where Innovatiview can contribute expertise.
3. Story Generation & Media Coverage
Develop compelling story ideas, media angles, articles, interviews and feature opportunities around Innovatiview's business and leadership.
Convert business achievements, technology innovations and project milestones into relevant media stories.
Drive proactive media coverage rather than relying only on press releases.
Identify opportunities for leadership interviews, expert comments, opinion pieces, features and industry articles.
4. Leadership & Executive Visibility
Build and execute media visibility plans for the Founder, CEO, CXOs and senior leadership team.
Coordinate interviews, media interactions, leadership profiles and expert commentary.
Prepare leadership teams for media interactions through briefing notes, talking points and Q&A documents.
Develop opportunities for senior leadership to participate in industry discussions, conferences and relevant media platforms.
5. Crisis & Reputation Management
Develop and maintain a proactive media and crisis communication framework.
Monitor news and social media conversations relevant to Innovatiview and its business.
Provide timely inputs during sensitive or high-visibility situations.
Prepare media responses, holding statements, FAQs and key messages in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Help protect and strengthen the organization's reputation through consistent and fact-based communication.
6. Media Monitoring & Analytics
Track Innovatiview's media presence and relevant industry conversations.
Monitor competitor and industry media coverage.
Prepare regular media coverage and sentiment reports for leadership.
Measure media engagement through relevant metrics such as quality of coverage, share of voice, reach, journalist engagement and strategic placements.
Key Requirements
10+ years of experience in journalism, media relations, corporate communications or PR.
Journalism/Mass Communication background is mandatory/preferred.
Strong and demonstrable media relationships and journalist network across India.
Existing relationships with national, business, technology and relevant regional media will be highly valued.
Strong understanding of the Indian media landscape and news cycles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong storytelling and media pitching capabilities.
Experience handling senior leadership and sensitive communications.
Strong understanding of crisis communication and reputation management.
Ability to convert complex technology/business information into simple and compelling media narratives.
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth and high-accountability environment.
