Role Description
The Vice President of Products is a part-time, remote role responsible for defining and leading the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the organization. This role oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept and market analysis through development, launch, and optimization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding product managers and cross-functional teams, prioritizing product initiatives, reviewing performance metrics, and making data-informed decisions on feature development and improvements. The Vice President of Products collaborates closely with leadership, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure coherent product positioning, timely delivery, and strong market adoption. This role also mentors team members, establishes product management best practices, and contributes to strategic planning and budgeting.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Product Strategy and Product Management, with a track record of leading successful products from concept to launch.
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret market data, customer feedback, and performance metrics for informed product decisions.
Proven ability in Product Development, including guiding feature definition, prioritization, and collaboration with technical teams.
Experience in Cross-functional Team Leadership, working effectively with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations.
Background in leading product organizations or senior product roles in a technology-driven or innovation-focused environment.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills in remote and distributed team settings.
Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on with product details and execution when needed.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is beneficial but not required.
Familiarity with agile product development methodologies and modern product management tools.
Commitment to inclusive leadership and building diverse, high-performing product teams.
