Brand Strategist

About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Brand Strategist at our Jaipur office. Sage Media looks after around 50 brands across F&B, fashion, hospitality and D2C, handling their social, content, shoots and brand strategy. The Brand Strategist does the thinking that comes before all of that: working out how a brand should be positioned and building its identity to match, digging into audiences, competitors and categories to find insights, coming up with campaign ideas and the story behind them, and putting together pitch decks and brand books that win clients over. You will work closely with clients and with our creative and social teams to get the strategy made. This is a strategy role, not a social media executive or content creator role.
What we're looking for
Around 3+ years in brand strategy, ideally at an agency handling several brands.
- Proficiency in positioning and brand identity.
- Strong research skills, turning audience, category and competitor research into clear insights.
- Campaign thinking: big ideas and the story behind them.
- Experience building pitch decks and brand books, and the confidence to present them to clients.
- Excellent writing, collaboration and communication skills.
- A portfolio of strategy work (decks, brand books, positioning docs). Posts and designs alone won't be enough.
- Based in Jaipur or willing to relocate to work on-site.
