Chief Data Officer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Chief Data Officer. The Chief Data Officer will define and lead the company-wide data strategy, ensuring that data is treated as a strategic asset across all food and beverage operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include establishing data governance frameworks, overseeing data management and data quality initiatives, and coordinating with IT and business teams to maintain secure, accessible, and reliable data systems. The role will guide the development of analytical capabilities, supervise data science projects, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for production, logistics, marketing, and finance. The Chief Data Officer will collaborate closely with senior leadership to support digital transformation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and performance optimization through data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong experience in Data Governance, including policies, standards, stewardship, and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in Data Management and Data Quality, covering data architecture, metadata management, integration, and quality assurance.
Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, develop KPIs, and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Hands-on experience in Data Science, including modeling, statistical analysis, and use of modern analytics and visualization tools.
Proven leadership experience in a senior data role, preferably in food and beverages, FMCG, manufacturing, or a related sector.
Demonstrated ability to build and mentor cross-functional data teams in remote or distributed work environments.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
