Accountant

We're hiring an Accountant for our HVAC contracting business.
You'll run the books in Tally. Project billing stays with the billing team. This role is vouchers, GST, TDS, and a clean month-end close.
What you'll do in Tally:
Maintain company books in TallyPrime: ledgers, groups, cost centres, and project-wise cost categories for each HVAC site
Pass purchase, sales, expense, journal, and contra entries, and attach the bill or challan to the voucher
Set up and use stock items, godowns, and units where material is tracked in Tally, and reconcile stock with the store
Book supplier and subcontractor bills, match them to purchase orders, and clear advances
Run GST in Tally: taxable, exempt, and RCM entries, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B working, input credit, and the reconciliation with the portal
Deduct and deposit TDS, file the return, and issue certificates from the Tally TDS reports
Bank reconciliation, debtor and creditor ageing, and outstanding follow-up that does not include raising client bills
Month-end: trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, and project-wise cost, with schedules an auditor can follow
Back up the company data and keep masters (GSTIN, PAN, HSN, tax ledgers) correct
What we're looking for:
2–4 years as an accountant, with daily work in TallyPrime (or Tally.ERP 9)
You can create a voucher, a cost centre, and a GST report without help
You know GST and TDS from the entry, not only from a summary someone else prepared
Site or contracting experience helps, HVAC or MEP is a plus
Careful with masters and narrations, so the next person can trace a figure
Billing, RA bills, and BOQ measurement are not this role.
