Strategic Project Lead - Software Engineering

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Project Lead / Technical Program Lead to manage large-scale software engineering programs and distributed technical teams.
The role combines program management, technical operations, quality management, analytics, and client communication. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with software engineering workflows and reviewing technical work.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery across scope, timelines, quality, throughput, contributor performance, and cost
Design and manage workflows for coding datasets, benchmarks, evaluations, and technical projects
Identify operational bottlenecks and improve workflows, processes, and capacity planning
Manage distributed software engineering teams and contributor networks
Build team-lead and reviewer structures for large-scale programs
Establish quality-control processes and identify systematic issues
Track operational metrics and develop performance insights
Communicate project progress, risks, quality trends, and recovery plans with customers
Translate technical requirements into clear and practical task specifications
Use tools such as Python and SQL for reporting, quality analysis, and operational reviews
Develop reusable workflows, quality controls, and operational playbooks

Required Qualifications
Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs
Background in software engineering, technical program management, consulting, finance, startups, operations, or a related environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience identifying bottlenecks and improving operational performance
Experience managing distributed teams, contributor networks, marketplaces, or large-scale technical operations
Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to read and review code and understand test suites
