About the Internship
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you'll work on realistic business challenges involving financial statement analysis, valuation, forecasting, budgeting, and investment recommendations.
You'll learn how analysts dissect company performance, build models that predict the future, and present data-backed recommendations to decision-makers.

* Track KPIs and build dashboards for profitability, liquidity, and efficiency.
* Evaluate investment opportunities using NPV, IRR, ROI, and payback period.
* Perform variance analysis on budgets vs. actuals and explain the drivers.
* Build scenario models for best-case, base-case, and worst-case plans.
* Research industry trends and benchmark peer financial performance.
* Draft equity-research-style reports with a clear buy/hold/sell-style recommendation.
* Analyze working capital, burn rate, and runway for mock startups.
* Build pricing and revenue models for hypothetical products.
* Prepare board-ready financial summaries and executive memos.
* Research funding options (debt, equity, grants) and compare their terms.
* Design break-even and sensitivity analyses for new initiatives.
* Build expense categorization systems and spending policies.
* Analyze customer unit economics: CAC, LTV, churn, and margins.
* Research tax basics and compliance requirements for small businesses.
* Compare financial software tools and recommend the best fit.
* Use AI tools for financial analysis, modeling, research, and reporting.
* Present findings, forecasts, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
* Current student or recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong interest in financial analysis, valuation, and corporate finance.
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with numbers.
* Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets); formulas and pivot tables a plus.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance audiences.
* Interest in startups, investing, and data-driven decision-making.
* Familiarity with financial statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow) is a plus but not required.
* Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms is a plus.
* Previous professional finance experience is not required.
What You'll Gain

* Experience building dashboards and KPI trackers.
* Practical exposure to equity-research-style reporting.
* Experience researching funding options and market benchmarks.
* Understanding of risk assessment and scenario planning.
* Experience using AI and modern finance tools.
