We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Director – Data and Analytics.
In This Role, You Will
End-to-end analytical support to technology change delivery, from requirements documentation and design to coordination of technical deployment and testing
Data analysis, informing requirement scope and design ▪ Work with Product Owner to ensure that all key stakeholders are appropriately considered and engaged during analysis and implementation
Chair requirements meetings, regular status updates and other forums
Adhere to workstream and programme governance structures, including regular updates to the PMO and Programme Leadership as required
Monitor and escalate risks, issues and dependencies as appropriate
The jobholder must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across Business, Finance, Data and IT stakeholders in a global organisation, cross time-zone. This may include (but not limited to): business/technical requirements, strategy/objectives/success criteria, timelines, risks and key dependencies
The jobholder must possess the ability to prioritize effectively and manage stakeholder expectations successfully, within strict time limits.
The jobholder must demonstrate the ability to provide innovative recommendations and/or solutions to the project team when faced with unplanned situations
To Be Successful You Will
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in finance, data and technology transformation (E)
Business analysis skills and end-to-end understanding of the technology delivery lifecycle, from requirements documentation to deployment and testing (E).
Strong understanding of business / finance concepts and terminology within a banking environment (E)
Skilled in data analysis, research, validation and documentation (E). Experience in MI / dashboard delivery (E)
Experience in strategic data build (E). Detail oriented, capable of delivering work to a high level of accuracy (E)
Strong self-starter, enthusiastic problem solver, ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision (E)
Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, and above all a team player (E). Excellent written and verbal communication (E)
Domain knowledge on Client Profitability and/or finance reporting (D). Domain knowledge on Servicing data & analytics (D)
Knowledge of HSBC client and product structures (D). Experience of QlikSense tooling delivery (D). Experience of AI implementation in a banking context. Background in programming language (e.g. SQL / Python / Qlik).
