About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We are seeking a results-driven Part-Time Recruiter (Caregiver Recruitment) to support a growing home care agency in Michigan. This role is focused on proactive candidate sourcing and on converting qualified caregivers into deployable employees. Your mission is to consistently build the caregiver workforce the scheduling team needs: identifying exactly where the staffing gaps are, finding candidates who fit those gaps and building sourcing channels rather than waiting for applications, and who wants to be measured by qualified pipeline and placements, not by activity volume.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Staffing Needs Review
Reviewing current and upcoming staffing needs with the scheduling/operations team.
Organize the day’s sourcing activity around priority openings rather than working through a general applicant queue.
Proactive Candidate Sourcing (approx. 50–60% of working time)
Actively source caregivers through Indeed and other job boards, Facebook and community employment groups, and local caregiver and healthcare groups.
Build relationships with CNA/HHA training programs, community colleges, vocational schools, workforce development organizations, Michigan Works, and similar employment resources.
Candidate Outreach & Qualification
Screen candidates for exact location, reliable transportation, days/hours available, desired weekly hours, willingness to work weekends/evenings, caregiving experience, CNA/HHA or other credentials, facility and private-duty experience, comfort with companionship and personal-care assignments, pay expectations, earliest start date, travel radius, and any limitations that would prevent placement.
Candidate Conversion & Follow-Through
Own each qualified candidate’s progress through initial screening, interview coordination, application completion, required employment documentation, and background/reference checks.
Follow up on missing documents and maintain candidate engagement to prevent qualified candidates from stalling in the process.
Pipeline Development
Recruit ahead of demand so that new referrals do not trigger a brand-new recruiting search.
Maintain caregiver pools in each major service area with clear visibility into who is available now, who wants additional hours, where candidates live, which schedules they can work, how far they will travel, who can cover weekends/evenings, who could serve as backups, and who could be deployed quickly.
ATS & Recruiting Data Management
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of recruiting experience, ideally high-volume recruiting for caregivers, CNAs/HHAs, home care, or healthcare roles.
Proven track record of proactive sourcing beyond job postings, including community groups, schools, workforce programs, referrals, and direct outreach to passive candidates.
Familiarity with U.S. employment documentation and background/reference check processes.
Experience using an ATS; WellSky experience is a strong plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for daily phone, text, and email outreach with U.S. candidates.
Highly organized, resourceful, and persistent; comfortable being measured against staffing outcomes rather than activity volume.
Benefits:
$1,100 USD monthly salary
100% remote collaboration
Monday and Friday 8 am to 3pm, Tuesday to Thursday 8 am to 2 pm (Eastern Time)
