The Company
Our client is a recruitment consultancy specialising in IT, Finance, HR, and Digital Technology. We are currently looking for a Databricks Data Architect to join a remote project with an approximate duration of 9 months.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing data products in Databricks and DBT, delivering hands-on code within an established CI/CD framework, and supporting the migration and modernisation of treasury-related data solutions.
The role requires a strong understanding of inbound data flows, the ability to create calculations and transformations in DBT, and experience defining scalable data architectures and building robust data products. The consultant will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure that solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with architectural standards.
The consultant will play a key role in two main project deliverables:
Supporting the migration of a legacy Treasury solution from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to Databricks, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and compliance with architectural standards.
Providing architectural support for existing Databricks solutions built on top of a legacy database environment, helping optimise data structures, transformations, and overall platform design.
Requirements
7–10 years of overall professional experience.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the required technologies.
Strong experience with Databricks and DBT.
Solid expertise in data architecture and data product development.
Experience designing and implementing data transformations, calculations, and data models.
Good understanding of inbound data flows and data integration.
Experience working within established CI/CD frameworks.
Previous experience in data migration and modernisation projects.
Previous experience within a Treasury environment is essential, with a solid understanding of treasury concepts, processes, and terminology.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Good working level of English.
Ability to work independently in a remote project environment.
