Senior Software Engineer, AI (Remote – USA)

About the role
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build AI-native products: software that puts large language models to work inside real applications used by real customers. You will own features end-to-end, from backend services and data models to the web interface, in a small, fast-moving product team with a high degree of autonomy.
What you will do
Design, build and ship product features end-to-end: backend services and APIs, data models, and polished web interfaces.
Integrate LLMs into the product: agent workflows, retrieval (RAG), tool calling, prompt and context engineering, and evaluation and observability of AI features.
Own what you ship in production: performance, reliability, security and cost as usage grows.
Work closely with founders, product and design; take problems from idea to shipped product.
Use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot or similar) as part of your daily workflow.
What we are looking for
5+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems.
Strong TypeScript and/or Python; React (Next.js) on the front end and Node.js, Python or Go on the backend.
Solid experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), Docker and CI/CD. Kubernetes, Terraform or Kafka are a plus.
Hands-on experience building features with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic or open-weight models), or strong fundamentals and a clear interest in doing so.
Comfortable with ambiguity and ownership; clear written and verbal communication in a remote team.
Bonus: Rust, distributed systems, developer tooling, React Native, or domain experience in fintech, healthcare or edtech.
Location and work authorization
Fully remote within the United States, with overlap with US Eastern or Pacific business hours.
You must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship. This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
Occasional travel for team offsites, typically a few times per year.
