Datacom DBA
Australia/Newzealand
Contract 6+ Months
Our client in Australia is looking for Datacom DBA this is a contract for 6+ months. Please email me at supriya.thorat@itbility.com.au for more information.
Required Skills:
Mandatory experience and capabilities
At least 10 years of substantial hands-on experience installing, administering, supporting and tuning Broadcom Datacom databases.
Recent and active experience working as a Datacom DBA, rather than relying only on historical Datacom knowledge.
Demonstrated experience building, refreshing, restoring, reconfiguring and maintaining Datacom databases and environments.
Strong troubleshooting capability, including diagnosis and resolution of database, performance, integrity and environmental issues.
Strong understanding of Datacom database structures, utilities, operational processes, backup and recovery.
Experience supporting application development, system testing, integration testing and implementation activities.
Experience administering Datacom in complex IBM mainframe environments.
Ability to work independently and provide credible backup coverage for an experienced Datacom DBA.
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, testers, infrastructure specialists and application support teams.
Desirable experience
Experience supporting Datacom applications within banking, insurance or another highly regulated environment.
Experience supporting significant application migration, remediation or database-decommissioning initiatives.
Experience supporting data extraction, transformation, reconciliation and database migration activities.
Familiarity with mainframe scheduling, batch processing and performance-monitoring toolsets.
