Job Purpose
To lead and manage end-to-end logistics operations at the plant, ensuring timely movement of raw materials, finished goods and other materials while maintaining cost efficiency, safety and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day plant logistics and dispatch operations.
Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation.
Ensure timely availability and movement of raw materials and finished goods.
Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, Sales and Transporters for smooth operations.
Monitor vehicle planning, loading, unloading and dispatch schedules.
Manage transporter performance, freight costs and logistics service levels.
Ensure proper documentation for dispatches, including e-way bills, invoices, delivery challans and transport documents.
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers/warehouses.
Monitor logistics KPIs such as OTIF, freight cost, vehicle turnaround time and dispatch efficiency.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and route optimization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and EHS/safety standards.
Handle logistics-related issues, delays and escalations effectively.
Maintain accurate logistics records and prepare regular MIS/reports.
