Senior PowerBI and Tableau Developer

Role Purpose
This Senior PowerBI and Tableau Developer role is intended to support a high-demand US-based client. The position requires an independent, senior-level expert who can manage end-to-end BI development, business analysis, client communication, and data modeling.
The client is highly detail‑oriented, demanding, and challenges deliverables frequently, therefore, the candidate must be confident, proactive, and capable of handling pressure while maintaining strong client-facing professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence Development & Analysis
Presents analytical results to internal and external stakeholders.
Documents what was built, how it was built, and why.
Performs knowledge transfer (KT) to other team members.
Uses project templates, tools, and standards when developing data sets or BI components.
Manages and refines Business Requirements.
Discovers and validates business rules using available data.
Prepares prototypes and visualization concepts in BI tools.
Identifies opportunities to enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Uses multiple datasets to solve business problems and uncover patterns.
Delivers estimates for known and new tasks.
Understands and adjusts the data model to reflect business needs.
Client-facing Responsibilities
Discusses business use cases with business users independently.
Provides ad hoc BI expertise during meetings.
Creates and demonstrates solution prototypes, mockups, or full demos.
Defines and communicates the business value of BI solutions clearly.
Works with minimal supervision and ensures accountability for deliverables.
Team & Project Collaboration
Supports and mentors less experienced BI developers.
Shares best BI practices and promotes data storytelling standards.
Collaborates closely with other technical project teams.
Stays current with new Power BI and BI-related tools.
Proactively identifies risks or issues and proposes structured solutions.
Acts as a thought leader for BI best practices within the project.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have
4–6+ years of hands-on experience developing BI solutions using both Power BI and Tableau.
Strong experience building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations in both Power BI and Tableau.
Proven experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions using both Power BI and Tableau, from requirements gathering to deployment and stakeholder presentation.
Experience administering and publishing content through Power BI Service and Tableau Server/Cloud.
Nice-to-Have
Experience working with US clients or fast‑paced environments.
Knowledge of SQL, ETL concepts, data warehousing, or Azure stack.
Familiarity with data storytelling methodologies and BI design principles.
Experience in cross-team technical collaboration.
