Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)
Works closely with scientists and engineers to develop new products, formulations or prototype equipment and conduct standard/non-standard procedures and tests.
Follows experimental plan as set by project leader. May prepare logistics, materials and equipment.
Executes various chemical and physical laboratory tests involving synthesis, processing, characterization and related troubleshooting with attention to observations and learning. Clearly documents work in notebook.
Maintains work area in compliance with safety rules and regulations. Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safetay training requirements.
Education/Experience
Science technician (e.g. German CTA) with minimum of 2 years of laboratory hands on experience or
BSc in chemistry, electrochemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering and minimum 1 year of laboratory hands on experience
Understanding of laboratory terminology, equipment, procedures and safety practices. Knowledge of basic principles of chemistry and/or engineering.
Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify out-of-range results and note unusual patterns. Ability to populate and organize data in assigned format to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Communication abilities in English and German
