Role Description The Graduate Trainee Engineer internship role at Algoworks is an on-site position based in Coimbatore. The trainee will assist in designing, developing, testing, and documenting software components under the guidance of senior engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities may include participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing technical requirements, and supporting the implementation of AI and engineering solutions. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software development, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and contributing to project tasks and reports as directed by mentors and team leads.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in computer science or engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with at least one programming language (such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript) and interest in software development or AI-driven solutions.
Basic understanding of web or application development concepts, databases, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
Ability to learn new technologies quickly, analyze problems, and apply logical thinking to propose solutions.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Interest in artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, or modern software engineering practices is an advantage.
Availability to work on-site in Coimbatore and commit to the duration and learning objectives of the internship program.
