About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end technology infrastructure ecosystem for Prudential India as part of the CTO organization, spanning workplace technology, platforms, systems, cloud connectivity, operational tools, and site technology enablement.
Own infrastructure readiness and operational excellence for the Delhi location, ensuring the environment is secure, scalable, resilient, compliant, and aligned with enterprise technology standards and architecture.
Lead through technical credibility and example. Step directly into difficult problems, frame viable solutions, and help teams make progress when the path is unclear.
Partner across enterprise technology, business technology offices, security, risk, facilities, vendors, and local business teams to coordinate infrastructure delivery, adoption, support, and issue resolution.
Serve as a change agent for Prudential India by driving modernization, standardization, automation, process discipline, and continuous improvement across the local technology operating model.
Assess current and emerging infrastructure needs across departments and growth plans, translating business requirements into practical technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and delivery plans.
Monitor performance, service health, risk indicators, asset utilization, and user experience metrics to identify improvement opportunities and guide operational and investment decisions.
Coordinate regular maintenance, upgrades, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and resilience activities across hardware, software, network, endpoint, collaboration, and workplace technology environments.
Help establish and scale technology capabilities for new or expanding teams and locations, ensuring smooth onboarding, reliable connectivity, effective support models, and minimal business disruption.
Influence technology-related decisions with strong visibility across the organization, navigating global interdependencies, cultural nuances, local operating needs, and enterprise governance expectations.
Build trusted partnerships and drive accountability across internal teams and external providers to deliver reliable services, improve controls, resolve complex issues, and support future growth.
Champion a customer-focused technology culture that improves productivity, accelerates adoption of new tools, and enables employees to do their best work in a secure and efficient environment.
Requirements
Deep, current technical expertise developed through significant hands-on experience designing, building, integrating, and operating complex technology systems.
Mastery or specialization in at least one area of technology. Bring us a story of how you went deep in one area before pivoting to broader roles.
Technical inspiration and a “can-do” attitude that will drive the creation of new innovations across operations, software development, security, and other technology disciplines.
A record of leading through technical influence, judgment, and example rather than relying solely on organizational authority or delegation.
Strong technical intuition, supported by disciplined analysis and the ability to investigate assumptions rather than accepting them at face value.
The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, executives, business partners, and nontechnical stakeholders.
Experience developing engineers and technical leaders by raising standards, providing direct feedback, and creating opportunities for others to grow.
Intellectual curiosity and a sustained habit of learning, experimenting, and remaining current with technology and engineering practices.
Experience operating across geographically distributed teams and navigating enterprise dependencies without losing accountability for outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 18+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technology operations roles with a proven leadership responsibility.
