About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Schedule: 9 AM - 6 PM PST (California Time)
Key Responsibilities:
Calculating Deadlines
Review court notices, filings, orders, and related case documents to identify and calculate applicable deadlines. Record the information supporting each deadline, follow the firm's verification procedures, and escalate unclear or conflicting information to the supervising legal team.
Master Calendaring
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date master calendar across active cases, including hearings, filing deadlines, and other litigation-related dates. Enter new deadlines, update scheduling changes, maintain reminders, and coordinate with the legal team to keep upcoming obligations visible.
Court Monitoring
Monitor court dockets, notices, and case activity for new filings, orders, hearings, and scheduling updates. Document relevant developments, update case records and calendars, and promptly communicate time-sensitive changes to the appropriate team members.
Required Qualifications
California case experience: Previous paralegal or litigation-support experience involving California personal injury or lemon law matters.
Hands-on docketing experience: Practical experience with deadline calculation, legal calendaring, and court monitoring—not solely intake, records collection, or general case administration.
Bilingual communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Accuracy and organization: Ability to review case documents carefully, maintain reliable records, and manage competing deadlines across multiple matters.
Sound judgment and follow-through: Ability to follow established procedures, handle confidential information appropriately, and recognize when an issue requires attorney review.
Schedule availability: Ability to work full-time from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience supporting California lemon law litigation.
Hands-on experience with Filevine and/or HubSpot.
