Role Description The AI Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, working closely with client and internal product teams to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing business and technical requirements, implementing backend services and APIs, integrating AI models into production systems, and ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. The FDE collaborates with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to translate product ideas into technical specifications, run experiments, and iterate quickly based on feedback and metrics. This role involves owning end-to-end delivery for key features, maintaining high-quality code standards, and contributing to architecture decisions and best practices across projects.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade applications.
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and database integration.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and clean code practices.
Experience integrating or working with AI/ML models in real-world systems is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go) and REST/GraphQL APIs.
Comfort working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and monitoring.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and take ownership of outcomes.
Experience in fast-paced product or startup environments and interest in applied AI problem-solving is a plus.
