IT application operation specialist

Role Description The IT Application Operation Specialist (part-time, remote) will be responsible for the daily operation and support of the Foundation’s core applications and related systems. This includes monitoring application performance, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors or internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely resolution of technical problems. The specialist will maintain documentation for application configurations, workflows, and incident logs, and support improvements to business processes through system enhancements and updates. The role involves collaborating with program and administration teams to understand user needs, provide training or guidance where necessary, and ensure that applications are secure, reliable, and compliant with internal policies. The specialist will also assist with testing and deployment of new features, upgrades, and integrations as required.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Information Technology knowledge with experience in Application Support.
Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities with well-developed Analytical Skills.
Candidates should possess understanding of Business Process design and optimization in an application-driven environment.
Relevant experience with cloud-based or web applications, basic database familiarity, and incident management tools is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in nonprofit, education, or cultural organizations, and an interest in the Foundation’s mission, are advantageous.
