Senior Geologist
Are you interested in leading complex ground investigation projects? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Senior Geologist, playing a vital role in supporting SOCOTEC’s continued success.
As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Geologist to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Senior Geologist to join our Coventry-based team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in geotechnical disciplines, along with extensive ground investigation experience, is essential to thrive in this position.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
Day to day responsibility for planning, supervision and programming of Ground Investigation projects at locations throughout the United Kingdom
Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during the site works phase, as well as assisting with the managing the Health & Safety of operatives and promoting a safe working environment
Liaise with clients / Engineers / main contractors throughout the site works phase
Compile monthly financial project accounts and assist the GI Projects Manager in maintaining the financial performance of projects
To be a successful Principal Geologist, you should be able to demonstrate:
Qualified to degree level in a geotechnical discipline
Full UK driving licence
Have a minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site based tasks listed above on a variety of sites including active construction sites and linear projects for roads and railways
5 - 10 years relevant site and industry experience
