Role Description The Chiller Plant Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The technician will monitor and operate chiller plant equipment, including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated controls, ensuring safe and efficient performance. Daily responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, recording operating parameters, identifying abnormalities, and reporting issues to supervisors. The technician will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, support breakdown maintenance, and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control components as per standard procedures. The role involves troubleshooting system faults, assisting in commissioning activities, following safety and compliance guidelines, and coordinating with engineering and facility teams to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Plant Operations, including monitoring, controlling, and optimizing chiller plant equipment.
Experience in Plant Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for HVAC and chiller systems.
Ability to perform Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair on mechanical, electrical, and control components.
Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, or related engineering field, or equivalent technical qualification.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, industrial safety practices, and basic instrumentation and controls.
Ability to read technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance documentation.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in rotating shifts and field conditions.
Prior experience in chiller plants, industrial HVAC, or facility management environments is an advantage.
