For our Global People Development Operations Team at ABB, we are looking for a motivated and curious HR Junior Specialist to join our international HR organization.
This is more than a coordination role. We are looking for a new team member who will support our global People Development Operations activities while also being excited about change, continuous improvement, digitalization, and automation.
Our environment is evolving, and so are the ways we work. You will have an opportunity not only to support existing processes, but also to help us simplify them, improve them, identify automation opportunities, and introduce smarter ways of working.
The role is ideal for someone who is well-organized and communicative, but also curious, proactive, comfortable with change, and motivated to grow within a global HR environment.
The work model for the role is: hybrid.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Coordinating global People Development and Learning & Development activities, including schedules, participants, trainers, communication, materials, and on-site or virtual support for selected activities and events.
Maintaining and updating relevant records, documentation, systems, and reports, while supporting broader HR administrative and operational activities as required.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and HR colleagues across countries and regions, supporting the Global People Development Operations Team with coordination, operational activities, and changing priorities.
Identifying opportunities to simplify and improve existing processes, proactively suggesting improvements based on recurring issues, team needs, and operational experience.
Contributing to automation and digitalization initiatives and supporting the testing and implementation of new tools, solutions, and ways of working within HR and Learning & Development operations.
Supporting the team through periods of change and helping ensure effective adoption of new processes and solutions.
Qualifications for the role:
You are at ease communicating fluently in English and in at least one additional European language.
You have strong organizational, coordination, and time management skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
You are proactive, solution-oriented, and willing to take ownership, demonstrating professionalism, collaboration, and personal accountability.
You are curious and open to change, new technologies, and new ways of working, with a willingness to learn, experiment, and continuously develop.
You are interested in process improvement, automation, and digital solutions, with the ability to recognize inefficiencies and identify simpler and more effective approaches.
You work effectively in a global and multicultural team; previous experience in an international or shared-services environment would be considered an advantage.
Previous experience in HR, People Development, Learning & Development, operations, or coordination, as well as familiarity with LMS or other HR systems, would be an advantage.
Experience or interest in process automation and workflow improvement, including familiarity with Power Automate, Power BI, Excel, AI tools, or similar digital solutions, would be an advantage, as would an interest in People Development, HR Operations, or HR transformation.
Your benefits:
Enjoy a stable employment in a company with a long history in innovation and technology.
Collaborate with experienced experts in an international environment.
Seize individual development and training opportunities, from job specific to soft skills.
Private medical care (including offers for family members) and life insurance.
Receive attractive remuneration based on your experience and skills, and other financial benefits, such as annual bonus and internal share purchase program.
Choose from various benefits in kind, ranging from healthy lifestyle offerings, to knowledge sharing, to teambuilding activities.
Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative. That's why we welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences.
