Role Description The Electrical BIM Modeler (4+ Years) will develop and maintain detailed Building Information Models for electrical systems in commercial and industrial projects. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves creating and updating coordinated electrical layouts, preparing construction drawings, and ensuring alignment with architectural and MEP designs. The role includes reviewing design inputs, resolving clashes, and collaborating with architects, engineers, and other BIM modelers to maintain accurate project documentation. The Electrical BIM Modeler will also support project teams with design revisions, documentation standards, and quality checks to ensure models are compliant with project specifications and industry codes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and experience working as a BIM Modeler on electrical or MEP-focused projects.
Candidates should possess skills in interpreting Architecture and Construction Drawings for coordinated electrical layouts and documentation.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and integration within BIM models.
Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant BIM and CAD software tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and standard modeling workflows.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical BIM modeling, preferably in building or infrastructure projects.
Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and effective communication skills.
Experience with international standards, clash detection, and model-based quantity take-offs is beneficial.
