About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

At ClearSpace, we believe in reusability, in affordability driving disruption, and that no progress is real unless it is sustainable.
Our company was founded in 2018 out of the realization that in-orbit servicing and space debris removal are vital services for the future of space exploration and operations. Today ClearSpace has assembled an expert engineering team and is leading the way toward sustainable space operations. From a garage in Switzerland, we now operate across UK and Europe, and are working with world-leading institutions and companies to bring our dream of a sustainable space ecosystem to life.
We are looking for an AIV Manager to join our UK office who will work on both our current missions and future projects.

Coordinate with IT for infrastructure design and implementation (networking, tools, access)
Ensure delivery, integration, and configuration management of the test bench components (hardware and software)
Process, Methods and Skills
Maintain, orient and develop the AIV processes, methods and skills
Help build a robust and scalable integration process from the ground up
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes—from design and implementation to result analysis and delivery
Provide technical leadership, training, and skill development within the AIV team
Subsystem and System Team Support
Contribute to the definition of the test strategy
Translate AIV strategy into actionable plans aligned with project schedules and technical requirements.
Ensure the AIV test environment meet the satellite subsystem and system needs
Plan, design, develop and execute tests
Troubleshoot issues across software, hardware interfaces, and communication layers
Present verification status at key project milestones
Manage non-conformances with Product Assurance, assess impacts, and support corrective actions
Must have
Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
This position involves strategic decision-making and team leadership; therefore, significant experience is expected:
Approximately 8 years of experience in AIV or relevant domain, ideally with full lifecycle involvement from planning to final delivery
Familiarity with verification and validation processes, preferably in standard-driven developments
Experience in managing complex technical activities
Also, the position requires strong interaction and support to the system and subsystem teams:
Experience in the space domain (e.g. familiarity with one or several subsystems) is a plus
Nice to have
You must be able to think out of the box to propose innovate designs, while maintaining rigor and discipline to deliver on time with the required quality, and ensure configuration management, reliability and availability of the system for use by the downstream activities, with project deadlines.
