Hours: about 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, or so

At Throttle & Thrive, we provide focused, trauma-informed care to First Responders and Veterans in our inpatient detox and residential treatment program. We’re looking for a dedicated and driven Chef to take the lead in preparing and serving lunch and dinner, during the week. If you’re passionate about food, not afraid of hard work, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity and purpose-filled environment—this is the role for you.
Your Role at a Glance:
Prepare and serve lunch by 11:55 AM Monday thru Friday
Prepare dinner for the staff to re-heat and serve at 5:30 PM
Manage all food storage
Manage all food inventory
Order food weekly (including the breakfast, snack and weekend food)

What You Bring to the Table:
You’re someone who shows up with heart and a strong work ethic. You’re confident in your technical skills—or eager to develop them—and ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment with high standards and a high level of support.
Has a passion for healthy food
Cooks from scratch
Does not use gluten, soy or processed foods
Enjoys cooking meat
Can prepare and serve a wide variety of healthy food
Uses ingredients that support detox, gut health and overall wellness
Brings his/her own menu of foods to the table
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds an active Food Handler's Certificate
Has prior BHT and Management experience, ideally in a residential or substance use treatment setting
Is skilled at ensuring lunch is served on time
Has strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
Brings a positive, collaborative attitude—and isn’t afraid of working hard
Other duties
Ensuring the kitchen stays clean and organized
Ensuring all knives are locked up
Dishes and cleaning up the kitchen
Maintaining kitchen and cook equipment in good working order (cleans the BBQ after use)
Must also be available on holidays like Labor Day, Memorial Day, President's Day etc. We are a 24/7 inpatient care facility.
