JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Forklift Opr PR06 - Full-Time
Starting pay: $23.25/HR
This position is responsible for carefully operating a forklift to move packages and materials around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety in accordance with Tysons production guidelines and Safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include, but are not limited to, the following)
Unload/Load materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs through accurate paperwork and/or electronic scanning.
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment while driving within the facilities.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to wear required PPE to work in an extremely cold environment (below -10 degrees F).
Must be willing and able to work for extended periods in cold environment (30F – 40F)
Must be willing and able to walk and reach with hands and arms 100% of the time.
Must be willing and able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel 100% of the time.
Must be willing and able to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; or crawl 25% of the time up to 10 hours per day.
Must be willing and able to sit 75-100% of the time for up to 8 - 10 hours per day.
Must be willing and able to lift 50 pounds and/or move up to 300 pounds (with assistance) 100% of the time.
