Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mail server, network, and related system issues.
Experience working with databases used in mail systems (e.g., for user management, logging, and configuration storage).
Background in infrastructure management, including server hardware, virtualization, networking, and security controls.
Proficiency with operating systems commonly used for mail servers (such as Linux and Windows) and command-line administration.
Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Windows-based mail environments or mixed OS mail server ecosystems.
Knowledge of email protocols and standards (SMTP, IMAP, POP3, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and spam/virus filtering solutions.
Ability to create clear documentation, follow change management processes, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience as a mail server or systems engineer in an enterprise environment is highly beneficial.
