The Doctor Coordinator helps to support the doctor(s) during their shifts. In this role, the individual is responsible for assisting the doctor with medical record keeping, scheduling of patient transfers/diagnostics and related communications with clients and referral partners. The Doctor Coordinator may assist the doctor with outpatient receiving and provide minor medical assistance.
We are looking for: Doctor Coordinator-Internal Medicine
Schedule: Wed-Sat 8a-6p
What you’ll do:
Directly supports specific doctor(s)for a given shift; may support different doctors within a department at different times
Ensures follow through of departmental workflow for the supported doctor(s)
Collaborates on scheduling of consults, transfers, and diagnostics
Delegates team responsibilities as appropriate to team members (rounding cases, planning and managing diagnostic scheduling and information, etc.)
Acts as point of contact for referral partner transfers/inquiries if doctor is unavailable
Provides departmental client communication for cases (i.e. concerns, care plan discussions, Q&A in absence of doctor, etc.)
Drafts medical record documentation for supported doctor(s). Creates initial patient history, documents/gathers initial vital statistics and treatment orders, scribes referral letter and discharge/dismissal letter for doctor review.
Monitors e-mails and voicemails for doctor(s)
Assists with and ensures completion of outpatient procedures as required by doctor(s) (bandage changes, post-operative radiographs, diagnostic samples, medication administration, etc.)
May escort outpatient clients to and from exam rooms and prepare/maintain exam rooms
May act as a mentor or trainer for team members
May coordinate and delegate prescription refills to team members
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of two years’ experience in client service or hospitality role. Experience in the healthcare and/or veterinary industry is a plus but not required. In addition, this position requires:
Strong Communication Skills
Ability to document medical notes using a computer
Ability to organize and prioritize work

Compensation:
This position has an initial hiring range of $24.50 to $30.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.
We support our caregivers with lucrative shift differentials:
Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm = base pay + $2/hour
Hours worked between 12am to 7:59am = base pay + $3/hour
Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) = base pay +$1/hour + any applicable differential
