About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Let's be honest, you're not just a Senior Accountant.

You understand accounting fundamentals, but you also understand the business behind the numbers.
When something doesn't reconcile, you investigate. When risks emerge, you identify them early. When assumptions change, you understand the impact.
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to be a key technical leader within our Housebuilding Accounting team. This role will own financial reporting, audit coordination, forecasting, cash flow management, proformas, and financial analysis while helping guide and support other members of the team.

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, working papers, and month-end deliverables prepared by team members
Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and appropriately reported
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, including financial statements, management reporting, and supporting schedules
Deliver meaningful variance analysis and communicate key risks, opportunities, and trends to leadership
Own community cash flow forecasts and proformas
Own and maintain community proformas, including updates for pricing, construction schedules, absorption assumptions, cost forecasts, financing requirements, and scenario analysis
Analyze project costs, margins, forecast performance, and community economics
Lead year-end audit and review engagements, including preparation and review of working papers, coordination of audit requests, and resolution of audit inquiries
Support technical accounting matters, process improvements, and internal controls
Partner with operations, construction, development, sales, and finance teams to support decision-making and project reviews
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and review support to accounting team members
Drive improvements to reporting, forecasting, automation, and business processes
Support special projects and ad hoc analysis as required
