Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a background in capital markets and electronic trading environments who is comfortable working independently, challenging assumptions, and taking ownership of complex initiatives from requirements definition through implementation.
Role Responsibilities
Work closely with the Product Managers/ Product Owners/ Development to design and build quality software solutions that align to the IT strategy/vision
Take Ownership/Accountability for development of key features and drive to completion
Lead in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, challenging problem statements to deliver clear requirement documentation to allow scope and prioritization
Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication, accelerating BA deliverables while identifying efficiency improvements and sharing best practices across the team
Support the team through governance of defining scope and guiding estimation of work to be done by leveraging domain and business knowledge
Communicate effectively on progress and ensure impediments, risks and dependencies are tracked and raised early to minimize impact to the delivery
Assist team members to understand the focus and delivery value of each milestone and each release
Be proactive in supporting the team’s engagement in a well-defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritization and delivery needs
Deliver against both Functional and Non-functional requirements
Manage ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience / Competences
Essential
5+ years of Business Analysis experience, including significant exposure to capital markets, electronic trading, order management, trade lifecycle, market infrastructure, or related financial technology environments.
Demonstrated ability to operate as the primary Business Analyst on a product, project, or business domain with minimal supervision
Experience supporting trading applications, OMS, electronic trading workflows, and trade lifecycle processes
Candidates should possess proven experience with the business processes, trading workflows, and technologies referenced in this role, with such experience clearly evidenced throughout their project work, responsibilities, and employment history
Ability to elicit, analyze, challenge, and articulate requirements from concept through delivery
Experience supporting trading applications, order management platforms, electronic trading workflows, and trade lifecycle processes as a Business Analyst
Understanding of the full project life cycle from requirements capture through to implementation, testing and delivery
Demonstrable experience working with Equity and Equity Derivatives products
Familiarity with FIX and trade messaging protocols
Ability to work on multiple projects whilst managing multiple deadlines and differing priorities
Identify and define AI-driven opportunities across equities trading workflows, translating business requirements into AI-enabled solution specifications
Adept at working in Agile/ Agile SAFe delivery environment, exhibiting strong communication skills including collaboration with local and remote team members
Leverage AI tools to enhance analysis, accelerate delivery, and improve stakeholder communication
Proficiency in Jira or similar issue management system
Contribute to functional testing of developed features to ensure these meet the delivery criteria
Excellent attention to detail with a highly organized, proactive, and independent approach to problem solving and innovative solutions
Clearly interprets and documents complex information to communicate project requirements effectively and concisely
Ability to critically evaluate and constructively challenge designs, approaches, and tooling to achieve the best outcome for the project

Experience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design

$110,000 - $125,000 (Commensurate with experience)
