Operations Executive — Dhatri Farms (Traditional Food Brand)
Nerul, Navi Mumbai · Full-time, on-site (Mon–Sat, Saturday half-day)
SALARY
- Strong candidates with relevant experience: direct full-time role at ₹20,000–25,000 per month, with a 2-month probation period
- Others: 2-month paid internship at ₹10,000 per month, then full-time at ₹20,000–25,000 per month based on performance
LOCATION
Our unit in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Candidates must live within about 30 minutes of Nerul.
ABOUT DHATRI
Dhatri Farms makes traditionally processed staples: stone-ground flours, hand-pounded rice, unpolished dals, millets and seeds. We sell across India on Amazon, our own website (www.dhatriagro.com) and new platforms. We are a small, founder-led, DPIIT-recognised startup (Hiranyagarbhini Annam Pvt. Ltd.).
WHY JOIN NOW
Dhatri is at an early, fast-growing stage. Over the next 6–8 months we plan to expand into quick commerce, new marketplaces and modern retail, and the team will grow with it. You'll be joining as part of the founding team: direct work with the founder, real ownership of your area, and room to grow as the company grows.
Founding team members will be considered for ESOPs (employee stock options). These will be discussed after 6 months of joining, in FY28, based on performance.
THE ROLE
You will run Dhatri's operations, both offline at our unit and online on our selling and shipping platforms. You own every order from the moment it comes in until it reaches the customer, and you fix whatever goes wrong along the way. This is not a packing-only job. You will work daily on a laptop with Amazon Seller Central, Shiprocket and courier platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Order processing & dispatch
- Process daily orders from Amazon, our website and other platforms
- Choose the right courier partner for each order based on cost, speed and location
- Schedule shipments, set up the label printer, and print and paste shipping labels correctly
- Pack orders accurately: the right product, right quantity, right address, every time
- Make sure pickups happen on time, and escalate with the courier the same day when they don't
- Coordinate shipments to quick-commerce platforms and marketplaces (Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Flipkart and others) as we go live on them
Stock & unit
- Receive stock from suppliers, and check quality and weight
- Fill, seal, batch-code and label product packs following our hygiene and FSSAI standards
- Keep stock counts updated and flag items that need reordering
- Keep the unit clean, organised and audit-ready, and maintain daily records
Disputes, returns & claims
- Track weight discrepancies charged by Shiprocket and couriers, and file disputes with photo and weight evidence. Incorrect weights cost us real money, and recovering it is part of your job.
- Check Amazon returns when they arrive. If a product comes back damaged, used or wrong, take photos and file SAFE-T claims.
- Raise tickets on Amazon, Flipkart and courier platforms for lost, damaged or delayed shipments, and follow up until resolved
Customer shipping support
- Answer all shipping and delivery questions: where is my order, why is it delayed, when will it arrive
- Send order and delivery updates to customers on WhatsApp
- Follow up after delivery and request reviews through Amazon's approved process
- Keep a log of customer complaints and how each was resolved
WHAT'S HARD ABOUT THIS ROLE
Dispatch has a daily cutoff and it does not move. You'll often work on your own at the unit, so you need to be reliable without someone checking on you. Every mistake costs money: a wrong address, a wrong weight, a missed claim deadline. You'll need to learn new platforms quickly. You may know Amazon but not Flipkart, and you should be able to figure it out.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
- A graduate degree
- Ability to read and write English comfortably: addresses, product names, platform screens, emails
- Comfort using a laptop, smartphone, WhatsApp and Google Sheets
- Willingness to learn printers, shipping software and seller platforms quickly
- Must live within about 30 minutes of Nerul, Navi Mumbai
STRONG BONUS
- 1–2 years in e-commerce operations, a D2C brand or a warehouse
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shiprocket, Flipkart Seller Hub or any courier platform
- Experience filing weight disputes, SAFE-T claims or courier escalations
- Food handling experience
- Marathi or Hindi
