About The Role
We are seeking an experienced English-to-Polish translator and Polish linguist with strong expertise in clinical/healthcare and marketing content review. Experience with medical devices, dental, orthodontic, pharma, life sciences, cosmetics, lab, or similarly regulated content is highly preferred.
This is not a standard translation role. The primary responsibility is reviewing and improving Polish content produced by external translation providers, ensuring linguistic accuracy, consistency, compliance, terminology alignment, and market relevance.
The role will review content across both clinical education and marketing, including professional-facing, healthcare/clinical, and consumer-facing materials.
The role acts as a local linguistic authority and quality gatekeeper, bridging Marketing, Clinical teams, local stakeholders, and external vendors. The focus is improving translation quality at scale, maintaining terminology standards, reducing review burden on internal teams, and streamlining localization processes. Occasional ad-hoc English-to-Polish translation may be required for urgent or short-form content.
Key Responsibilities
Review Polish translations of marketing, clinical education, and professional-facing content for accuracy, tone, terminology, and consistency with style guides.
Act as the main linguistic liaison between internal teams, local reviewers, and translation providers, aligning expectations and resolving language-related issues.
Consolidate and clarify feedback from Marketing, Clinical, Legal, and local stakeholders to ensure vendors receive clear, consistent direction.
Provide structured, actionable feedback to vendors based on recurring issues and quality trends.
Own and maintain Polish terminology assets and contribute to the evolution of the style guide.
Improve localization workflows by identifying bottlenecks, reducing review cycles, and supporting quality reporting.
Support machine translation and AI initiatives where needed, including post-editing and linguistic input for future model improvement.
Provide occasional ad-hoc English-to-Polish translation or validation for urgent or limited-scope needs.
Requirements
Native-level Polish speaker.
Strong communication skills in Polish and English.
Professional English-to-Polish translation experience.
Degree in Linguistics, Languages, Communications, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
Experience in translation review, linguistic QA, in-country review, or localization quality review.
Experience using CAT tools or translation/localization platforms.
Strong background reviewing healthcare, clinical, medical, life sciences, or similarly regulated content.
Ability to review both clinical education/professional-facing content and marketing/consumer-facing content.
Solid understanding of terminology management, style guides, and localization best practices.
Experience working with external translation vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience in medical devices, dental, orthodontics, clear aligners, pharma, cosmetics, lab, or regulated healthcare industries.
Exposure to MT/AI post-editing or language technology initiatives.
Based near Wrocław for occasional onsite collaboration.
Impact
This role ensures Polish content is accurate, consistent, compliant, and locally relevant while improving efficiency across localization workflows.
By strengthening terminology governance, consolidating stakeholder feedback, and improving vendor feedback loops, this person will help reduce review burden on internal teams and improve the speed and quality of localized communications.
