Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager role based in Ramgarh. The Production Manager will oversee daily plant operations, including planning and scheduling production, monitoring output, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include supervising production teams, coordinating with maintenance and quality departments, optimizing resource use, and implementing process improvements to reduce downtime and waste. The role also involves tracking production metrics, preparing reports for management, managing inventory of raw materials and finished goods, and supporting training and development of shop-floor personnel. The Production Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align production goals with business objectives and customer requirements.
Qualifications
Experience in production management or plant operations within manufacturing, preferably in mining, metals, or wire manufacturing.
Strong skills in production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization to meet output and quality targets.
Knowledge of quality control practices, safety standards, and compliance requirements relevant to industrial manufacturing.
Leadership abilities to supervise and motivate teams, manage shifts, and resolve operational issues on the shop floor.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for monitoring KPIs, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and production reporting tools; familiarity with ERP or manufacturing systems is an advantage.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and management.
Ability to work on-site in Ramgarh and adapt to a fast-paced industrial environment.
